When you are confirmed to act as the Curator for an interdict, what does that mean? What will you actually be doing in this new position? A Curator of the Person has duties that are distinct from the Curator of the Property of the interdict. Below are videos that discuss these matter in more detail.

Duties of the Curator of the Person

Duties of the Curator of the Property

The curator’s fiduciary duty managing interdict’s property may include possibly posting of a bond, the sale of a home or assets, record keeping for required for annual accounting, budgeting, and oversight by the undercurator.

Will there be Paperwork?
This session will comprehensively address the ANNUAL REPORT to the court with details on what must should be included (bank statements, major purchases, transferred assets, payment to the curator, etc.). It also discusses steps to take should the interdict regain capacity, and/or Final Reporting at the interdict’s passing.
